The amazing World Cup 2024 in Mar del Plata, Argentina, is over. With more than 1700 competitors, it set several new records. Finally, the competition took place in the phenomenal stadium Polideportivo Islas Malvinas with many thousands of seating capacity on a total of six full days. While the pre-junior and junior categories were held mainly on Monday to Thursday, October 28 to 31, the adults in various age categories competed from Wednesday to Saturday, October 30 to November 2.
The full details of the competition are available on sportdata.org, as well as for the 1st Adapted World Cup. As a summary, there were
- 1729 competitors of
- 143 clubs from
- 42 countries.
- 471 coaches and
- 109 umpires were registered.
The medal statistic by country and club is available, too. With a huge majority of competitors from Argentina it is not a surprise to see Argentina winning the medal statistic by far, followed by England and Ukraine. On the club level, the results are more close: places 1 to 3 have won 13 Gold medals each! Finally, the most successful club was “Vatrano Marcelo” (Argentina), followed by “ITF England – Clubteam” and “All-Ukrainian Taekwon-Do Union”.
