The ITF is pleased to announce the appointment of Sbn Cosmin Oprescu as ITF Treasurer and member of the Executive Committee. Before, he was a Member at Large of the ITF Board of Directors, a position he was elected to during the 2023 General Assembly in Tampere, Finland, and has since been a key contributor to the strategic governance and global vision of our Federation.
His international leadership is complemented by his remarkable success as President of the Romanian Taekwon-Do Federation. This has been recently highlighted by the Romanian team’s victory at the 2026 European Championships, where they secured first place overall. This outstanding achievement builds on a legacy of success, including the national team’s top-three placement at the 2025 World Championships and Romania’s prestigious 2025 induction into the ITF Hall of Fame as an “Outstanding Country.”
The ITF is confident that Sbn Oprescu’s extensive experience at both the international and national levels will be invaluable in his new capacity. We congratulate him on this appointment and look forward to his continued positive impact on the global Taekwon-Do community.
