Following several personnel changes within the ITF Board of Directors in recent months, the composition of the Board continues to evolve as the Federation implements the succession procedures set out in the ITF Statutes.
The ITF is pleased to welcome Master Paco Ferrando as a new Member-at-Large of the Board of Directors. He assumes the position for the remainder of the current term, which runs until 2027.
In accordance with Article 34.15(a) of the ITF Statutes, vacancies among the Members-at-Large are filled by the next eligible unelected candidate from the previous Board elections, ensuring continuity without the need for a by-election. Following confirmation that all statutory requirements were met, ITF Secretary General GM Tadeusz Loboda formally notified Master Paco Ferrando of his appointment.
A second vacancy currently exists in the female Member-at-Large position. The next eligible candidate from the 2023 elections declined the opportunity to serve the remainder of the current term. As no further eligible candidates remain, this position cannot be filled through the statutory succession process.
As a result, delegates of the ITF member organisations will elect a new female Member-at-Large at the next ITF General Assembly in Benidorm on September 28, 2026, to serve until the end of the current Board term in 2027. Details of the election process are available in the published election information. Nominations can be sent to the ITF General Secretariat at [email protected] by no later than July 28, 2026.
The ITF congratulates Master Paco Ferrando on his appointment and looks forward to his contribution to the continued development of the Federation. The Federation also encourages qualified female candidates to take part in the upcoming election, further strengthening the diversity and leadership of the ITF.
