Organized by the club Académie Taekwon-Do Pierre Laquerre, the 192 nd International Instructor Course (IIC) was held in Trois-Rivières, bringing together high-level instructors and practitionersfrom around the world. This event provided an excellent opportunity to strengthen technical, pedagogical, and philosophical knowledge within an international setting.
Participation
The event welcoming 175 participants from several countries, including: Jamaica, United States of America, Ireland and Canada.
This international diversity encouraged valuable cultural and technical exchanges among participants.
Technical direction
The course was conducted by Internationally renowned Grand Masters and Masters: GM Hector Marano, GM Ung Kin Lan, GM Pierre Laquerre, GM Cint Norman (sparring session).
A special segment, the Harmony Course, was delivered by: Master Gaston Casero.
With the participation of: Master Richard Lajeunesse.
Course content
The program included:
-review of fundamental movements
– study and refinement of patterns
-practical application in sparring and self-defence
– updates and international technical standards
-teaching methodology and instructional development
-the Harmony Course, focusing pm balance, coordination, and fluidity
of movement
Objectives
The main objectives of the 192nd IIC were:
– To standardize techniques at an international level
– To enhance instructors’ skills and knowledge
– To promote the core values of Taekwon-Do
– To foster collaboration and exchange between countries
Conclusion
The 192nd IIC om Trois-Rivières was a great success. Thanks to the exceptional quality of the instructors and the strong international participation, the event significantly contributed to both the technical and personal development of attendees. It also reinforced the global growth and unity of the Taekwon-Do community.
