Preparations for the ITF World Cup 2026 in Benidorm continue to progress steadily, with a series of important activities taking place this week involving organisers, officials, and ITF representatives.
On Monday, March 16, the event organisers hosted an online information meeting aimed primarily at team managers. The session provided comprehensive guidance on key aspects of participation, including registration procedures, accommodation options, travel arrangements, and visa requirements. The meeting was well received and offered valuable clarity to support teams in their ongoing planning and preparation.
Tuesday, 17 March marked an important administrative milestone, as it was the deadline for umpires to submit their applications via the Sportdata platform. This step is essential in the selection process to ensure a highly qualified and well-prepared officiating team for the World Cup.
Continuing the week’s activities, on Wednesday, 18 March, a coordination meeting was held between the event organisers and the ITF. The ITF was represented by members of several committees as well as members of the Executive. The meeting focused on reviewing the current status of preparations and aligning on the next steps for the coming months.
With just over six months remaining until the ITF World Cup 2026, these coordinated efforts reflect the strong collaboration between all parties involved and underline the commitment to delivering a well-organised and successful event in Benidorm.
The ITF extends its appreciation to the organisers, officials, and members for their continued dedication and cooperation in the lead-up to the competition.
