The new year has not yet begun, but the old problems cast their shadows ahead:
The IIC in Seoul, scheduled for April 2022, must be postponed again because country restrictions state that no matter what the vaccination status, a 10-day quarantine is mandatory. This is also not financially reasonable.
The following reasons justify the postponement:
- The Corona situation, which has been aggravated by the Omikron variant.
- The military conflict in the north of the country, which has not yet ended and has led to a nationwide state of emergency. It would also be morally difficult to hold a sporting event in the
capital while people may be dying in the north of the country.
- Most airlines have canceled their flights to Ethiopia.
We hope you understand these imponderables that go beyond our area of control.
Thank you very much for your understanding.
