Introduction
The IIC 107 organised by Ethiopian International Taekwon-Do Association (EITA) in the capital city of Ethiopia from November 13 – 15 2015 at the national Youth and Sports Academy. on day 1 after the introduction of Course conductors and participating countries his excellency Grand Master Hector Marano Congratulated for his achievement as one of the person in hall of fame of Taekwon-Do and his excellency Grand Master Paul Weiler Awarded Recognition Award by the Ethiopian International Taekwon-Do Association for the fact of his unreserved support in the development of ITF Taekwon-Do then traditional coffee ceremony took place for the IIC 107 Conductors then after welcoming message by Sabunim Wogayehu Behailu, President of Ethiopian International Taekwon-Do Association and then IIC 107 opened officially by his excellency Grand Master Hector Marano chairman of International Taekwon-Do Federation Technical Education Committee Chair person in parcens of government’s representative.
The reality of new history in ITF Taekwon-Do made in Ethiopia.
- For the first time three Grand Masters (GM Hector Marano, GM Kim Lan Ung & GM Paul Weiler) to conduct the course, one Master (Master David Mc Nairn from Scotland), three 6th Dan holders (Sabunim Niklas Enander from Ethiopia, Sabunim Fabian Izquierdo From Argentina & Sabunim Wogayehu Behailu from Ethiopia) and six 5th Dan holders (from Argentina, Ethiopia & South Africa) in the continent of African-Ethiopia to participate on the course at a time.
- For the first time in ITF Taekwon-Do participants from nine countries to attend the Course from (Scotland, Spain, Argentina, Ethiopia, South Africa, Uganda, Madagascar, Kenya and Djibouti) at a time with 375 participants.
- IIC for third time in Ethiopia (IIC 46, IIC 76 & the historic IIC 107).
In the past three days the course covered the session of fundamental exercise, pattern revision, self-defence, step sparing, theory of TKD, and so on. The participants from six regional states and from eight countries abroad was very much excited by the ITF technical committee members potential capacity of knowledge and enjoyed very much, loved the so much such a kind of event. Even some of them are commented that the time was too short. And also the participants from 9 different counties have passed a friendly time together. The event fully covered by the Addis Ababa city TV and by the national TV.
Finally The Ethiopian International Taekwon-Do Association would like to thank the ITF Technical committee members for conducting this historical event and the ITF board of directors for allowing us to organise such a wonderful event in our country.
