Without a doubt, the work that the International Taekwon-Do Federation has been carrying out shows its organizational maturity and its capacity for growth. After a long legal process, on May 20, 2022, all the requirements were completed to obtain the official recognition of the Central and South American TAEKWON-DO ITF Federation by the National Sports Secretariat of the Republic of Paraguay. This fact undoubtedly marks a milestone in strengthening the ITF not only in the region but also worldwide.
The official documents were delivered by hand to the ITF president, GM Paul Weiler, by the president of the National Association of Paraguay, Mr Fernando Arrúa, along with the entire board of directors. The ITF treasurer, Master Leo Oros Duek, and the president of the Central South American Federation, Master Abelardo Benzaquén, were also present with them.
Asked about this news, GM Paul Weiler, ITF president, said: “Without a doubt it is a fundamental step that consolidates the seriousness with which we have faced this new reorganization process.” For his part, the Secretary General of the ITF Master Loboda mentioned: “Achievements like this confirm that the ITF continues to build its institutionality in the world of sport, which will allow us to be part of the world elite of sports organizations.” Finally, the president of the Central and South American Taekwon-Do Federation, Master Abelardo Benzaquén, commented: “This has been a long process of great demand, which fortunately, we have been able to fulfill with great professionalism. We are very satisfied with the achievement and the contribution that this means for the present and future of the ITF.”
In this way, the ITF through the Central and South American Taekwon-Do Federation, strengthens its regional position by guaranteeing all its members the legal and institutional framework essential for its growth.
