It was held on April 6 and 7, 2024 in the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires, Argentina. For two days, the entire program corresponding to the ITF rules was covered. For the first time the rules for the Adapted Taekwon-Do Competition were presented. Seventy three (73) people participated, among them Grand Masters, Masters and Instructors, from 6 countries of the region: Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Paraguay, Peru and Uruguay.
It is important to highlight the presence, together with the Chairman of the umpires committee, Grand Master Abelardo Benzaquén, of the directors of several ITF committees: Grand Master Héctor Marano (Technical and Instruction Committee), SN Anabel Vicario (Inclusion Committee) and SN Gastón Casero (Harmony Committee). Also in attendance were members of other committees, such as the Women’s Committee, the Child Development Committee and the Business and Marketing Committee. The President of FETRA, GM Jorge Condomí, was also present,
The course was directed by GM Abelardo Benzaquén and counted with the participation of Grandmaster Marano, who provided his support and knowledge on the evaluation of the Patterns and how to analyze the important technical aspects.
During the two days, time was dedicated to present the regulations for the Adapted TKD competition, in which SN Anabel Vicario, together with GM Benzaquén, showed the joint work of both committees and answered the numerous questions about it.
It has been a great opportunity for the Umpires of the region to train in view of the next Central and South American Championships to be held in Asuncion, Paraguay and the 2024 World Cup to be held in Mar del Plata Argentina.
