President’s Messages – December 2003 Message
It is a great pleasure for me to be able to communicate with you, members of ITF, practitioners of Taekwon-Do, and everyone else who is interested in Taekwon-do, by using the new ITF Web site. As President of ITF, I will have the privilege of posting a new message in this space every couple of weeks.
Creating a quality Web site is a huge job, and your ITF team has been working very hard on this project for several months. I would like to thank everyone who helped.
The new ITF Web site is a work in progress. It will continue to evolve as we adapt it to changing circumstances and needs. As you browse, you will notice that some sections are not complete. In fact, the site is still “under construction”, and it will continue to evolve in the future. We have indicated “More to come …” in a number of sections and will be adding this information gradually, as it becomes available. Every effort will be made to keep the contents up to date.
We will soon be adding some graphics (photos, videos, illustrations, etc.) for a more dynamic presentation. However, to make downloading information from the site easy for everyone, we will keep it simple.
I would also like to explain the concept of the new ITF Web site. Everything you see on this site is geared to presenting the ITF – its mission, its values, its structure, how it operates, the range of services offered, upcoming activities and events. Essentially, our goal is to provide information to ITF members and to visitors who want to learn more about Taekwon-Do and the ITF. Therefore, the site is designed to be informative and user-friendly.
We welcome discussion and debate, as long as they are constructive, respectful, and consistent with the mission, the philosophy, and the fundamental values of the ITF.
I hope you will enjoy the site.
