With deep sorrow and regret we would like to inform the Taekwon-Do community worldwide that Master Gennady Han, 8th Degree, the President of the International Taekwon-Do Federation Uzbekistan, passed away today, on August 6, 2020.
Master Han has created Taekwon-Do history in Uzbekistan and in the world.
He was the organizer of many sport events, including the Asia Cup and Championships, Tashkent Open, International Matches, courses, seminars, etc. As an International A Class Referee he was umpiring on the biggest international competitions. He also participated on a regular basis as VIP in different international evens. In the last ITF Election in 2019 in Inzell, Germany he ran for the position of a Board Member.
He has educated many talented and titled instructors and competitors. Under his leadership the Uzbekistan National Team successfully participated in the World Championships and Cups.
We have planned many projects together in reference to the development of Taekwon-Do ITF in Asia.
On behalf of the Board of Directors of the International Taekwon-Do Federation and my own, I would like to express my deepest condolences to Master Han’s family, friends, students and to all members of the International Taekwon-Do Federation Uzbekistan.
We lost a member of our ITF Family today.

A sad loss to the Taekwon-Do community. My thoughts go to his family and students.
My good friends..we were graded same time place, I remembered he was fractured leg can’t perform well, I was asked to assisted him for his grading (master) very good & kind personality… RIP sir…
We deeply shocked and saddened to learn of the sudden passing of Master Han.

I was struck with this sad news. I knew Master Han since 1992 where he was coach for the Uzbek Team and I myself coach for the Argentine Team during ITF WCH 92 in Pyong Yang, North Korea. We shared lots of good moments and had the Honour to compete hand to hand with his brilliant team. Since then we shared lots of good moments during the World Events. I send my condolences to his family, his friends and his beloved ones. I feel very sad indeed about this loss.
