After the intensive workshop of the Executive Committee in Warsaw, Poland, at the beginning of March, the Chairs of the ITF Standing Committees met virtually only one week later.
The invitation for this meeting came directly from the ITF President, GM Paul Weiler. And short reports and plans were presented by all committees – either directly by the chair, by a former chair, or even through a virtual, pre-recorded greeting note. In addition to the committee chairs and the ITF President, the ITF treasurer, Master Leo Oros Duek, and the ITF Secretary General, Master Tadeusz Loboda, participated in this meeting.
Some committees reported on existing, regular, and upcoming events like the ITF courses: from the mandatory International Instructor Course (IIC) and the International Do Course (IDC) to educational courses covering topics for kids (IKC) and the elderly (IHC) as well as umpiring (IUC) or members with special needs (IAC). Other committees reported on current activities, e.g., the #InspireInclusion social media campaign of the Women’s Committee or the collaboration of the ITF with the world’s leading news provider in sports, insidethegames.
With this first joint meeting of all ITF Standing Committees in 2024, the committees will increase their collaboration and continue to work hard for the benefit of the ITF. The existing plans and projects of all committees will advance the ITF in 2024 and beyond.
