Dear ITF Members,
On behalf of the International Taekwon-Do Federation, I am pleased to inform you that on 12 July 2026 the ITF Board approved a number of important changes concerning the organisation of the 3rd ITF Adapted Taekwon-Do World Cup, which will be held in Benidorm, Spain,
on 30 September 2026.
The purpose of these changes is to encourage the widest possible participation in the Adapted Taekwon-Do World Cup and to make the event more accessible to athletes and National Associations worldwide. All changes have received the positive opinion of the ITF Board and the event Organiser.
1. Competition Date and Schedule
The Adapted Taekwon-Do World Cup will take place on Wednesday, 30 September 2026, in the afternoon. Accreditation of competitors and delegations will be conducted in the morning of the same day.
2. Allocation of Competition Groups
The division of competitors into competition groups will be carried out only after the accreditation of participants has been completed. This approach will ensure that groupings reflect the actual number and profile of accredited competitors, providing fair and meaningful competition for all participants.
3. Entry Fee Waived
The competition entry fee for Adapted Taekwon-Do competitors has been abolished. Participation in the 3rd ITF Adapted Taekwon-Do World Cup is free of charge.
4. Free Choice of Accommodation
The additional accreditation fee previously applied to competitors not booking accommodation through the official Organiser has been removed. Adapted Taekwon-Do competitors and their carers may freely arrange their own accommodation according to their individual accessibility, transport and support needs, without any financial penalty.
5. Length of Stay
The duration of stay in Benidorm will depend solely on the decision of the Adapted Taekwon-Do competitor and their carers. Scheduling the entire event — accreditation, competition and medal presentations — within a single day allows participants to significantly reduce travel and accommodation costs, should they wish to do so.
6. Minimum Grade Requirement Removed
The previous requirement of holding a minimum grade of 4th Gup has been abolished. Participation is now open to all competitors from 10th Gup upwards, with grade divisions created according to the number of registered competitors. We particularly encourage National Associations with developing Adapted Taekwon-Do programmes to enter first-time international competitors.

Registration: In Sportdata through the ITF-online-database https://data.itftkd.sport/signin. Each registration must be processed through the club participating in the World Cup, provided they have access to this platform, or through each country’s National or Allied Association.
Registration Deadline: Registrations will be open until August 27, 2026, at 21:59 UTC
Registration Fee: USD $100 per Competitior
Accredition Fee: USD $100. (Those who book their accommodation through the organizer (Beniconnect), will have the fee included in their booking payment.)
