With just two weeks remaining, anticipation is reaching its peak as the ITF prepares to welcome athletes, coaches, officials, and fans from around the world to the ITF Taekwon-Do World Championships 2025 in Poreč, Croatia.
The Championships will take place from October, 7–11, 2025 at the state-of-the-art Sports Hall Žatika, and today marks another milestone: the official draws and competition schedule are now published.
A Truly Global Gathering
This year’s event will see participation from 57 countries and an impressive 1 475 athletes, making it one of the most diverse and competitive ITF World Championships in history. Competitors will be tested across a full range of disciplines, including patterns, sparring, special techniques, and power breaking—alongside the 2nd ITF Adapted Taekwon-Do World Cup, emphasizing the ITF’s commitment to inclusivity.
Draws and Schedule Now Available
The publication of the draws and full schedule marks the start of the final stage of preparation:
- Athletes and coaches can now analyze their brackets, identify potential matchups, and fine-tune strategies.
- Officials and organizers will ensure smooth and fair progression through every division.
- Spectators — both in Poreč and following online — can begin planning which bouts and events to follow most closely.

The current draws and schedules are mostly intended for ITF experts, especially the qualified coaches. A more accessible presentation of the athletes and their categories, competition days and times, rings, and the corresponding live stream link will follow in the next days.
What’s Ahead in Poreč
- Preparation Day (October 7): The Championships begin with weigh-in, coach and umpire meetings, a Women Meet & Greet and the ITF General Assembly will also convene.
- Opening Ceremony (October 8, 8am): The official Opening Ceremony will not only showcase the organizers talent, but also Croatian folklore, the entering of the nations as well as the 2025 inductions into the ITF Hall of Fame.
- Competition Days (October 8–11): Four days of thrilling contests across Adult, Junior, Pre-Junior, and Adapted categories.
- Gala (October 10 evening): Selected finals and the highly anticipated World Record Event Nopi Chagi will be shown in the official Gala.
