The successful International Instructor Course IIC 187 in Montevideo, Uruguay, on August 1 to 3, 2025, was a source for the ITF Taekwon-Do family in South America to enjoy intense days of learning, camaraderie and technical growth. This event was organised by the National Association of Uruguay and coordinated by Sbn Gabriel Colina and Sbn Victor Benítez and brought together More than 240 participants from 7 countries.
During the event, instructors and representatives from different countries in the region requested an informal meeting with Master Leonardo Oros Duek, ITF Treasurer and direct ITF contact for South America, with the aim of exchanging ideas, expressing concerns and strengthening ties with the International Federation. Instructors from Argentina, Chile, Brazil, Peru, Ecuador and Uruguay participated.

GM Paul Weiler sent a warm virtual message to everyone, congratulating them on the success of the event, and highlighting the importance of the Adapted, Kids, and Harmony courses, which will continue to be supported by the ITF in their global development.
Master Oros Duek also wished to express his deep gratitude to GM Marano and GM Ung Kim Lan for their tireless commitment to keeping alive the flame of our founder, General Choi Hong Hi. In his words:
