The 49th Qualifying International Umpire Course was held during the weekend of 25th and 26th of May 2025 in Kuantan, Pahang, Malaysia.

Participants from several countries of East Asia took part in the two days (15 hours), course, covering competition rules, protocol, and procedures from presentation to practice with scoring equipment on 2 rings, for the total of almost 100 participants.
GM Najmi Abdullah (Malaysia), 9° Dan, President of the Malaysian Taekwon-Do Federation – ITF was present at the course with most of the Masters and Instructors of several States from Malaysia and others countries.
The organizing team from Kuantan Pahang led by Master Ng Boo Tuck worked hard to make a great event.
It was amazing to meet again most of the experienced umpires from South East Asia and welcome new umpires from Malaysia and other Asian countries. Also was fantastic to see some competitors and coaches present and having a great input throughout the weekend.
Saturday was the inaugural day with a warm welcome to all participants. The special representative was present from the Chief Minister of Kuantan Pahang, showing the respects and support of the official government to ITF Taekwon-Do.
Then, started with Patterns -Individual and Team- followed by Sparring -Individual and Team- conducted by Grand Master Benzaquen.
On Saturday evening, the Organizing Committee offered a special banquet with the presence of Umpires from Malaysia and several countries.
The seminar continued Sunday with Prearranged Sparring, Power Test and Special Techniques by Grand Master Benzaquén, and a tournament mode training session for all the participants.
The seminar ended with the presentation of QIUC participation certificates and photographs with the ITF Umpire Committee Chairman and members of the Organizing Committee. –
