During the 17th and 18th of April, the first online QIUC took place, taught entirely in English by the ITF Umpire Committee.
The two days were developed in a very dynamic way and the participants were offered the full ITF Umpiring program in all its specialties (Patterns, Sparring, Pre-Arranged, Power Break and Special Techniques), with the presence of 430 participants and 39 countries: Afghanistan, Germany, Argentina, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada, China, Czech Republic, Scotland, Slovenia, Finland, Holland, United States, France, Holland, Hong Kong, Hungary, India, England, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Jamaica, Luxembourg, Moldova, Malaysia, Norway, New Zealand, Poland, Romania, Saint Marteen, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Trinidad and Tobago
The course, which was officially opened with a speech by ITF President GM Paul Weiler, is an International Umpire Qualifier for ITF events for the next two years (QIUC) and qualifies to apply for the class A Umpire certificate (4th Dan and above) and the certificate of class B Umpire (2nd degree and higher) to all those who passed the final exam, who will receive a participation diploma.
The QIUC oversaw Master Abelardo Benzaquén (Director of the ITF Umpires Committee), with the participation of Grand Master Rubén Suárez, Masters Kurt Ottesen and Gordon Wallace and Sbn Saija Aalto, Petros Mikaelian (Members of the ITF Umpire Committee).
Sbn Leo Oros Duek, ITF Treasurer, and Sbn Gustavo Livon, Chairman of the ITF Communications Committee, actively collaborated in the pre-logistics. Special participation also included GM Héctor Marano, Director of the ITF Technical Committee, and GM Lan Kim Ung, Member of the ITF Technical Committee.
