With just two days to go until the start of the ITF Taekwon-Do World Championships 2025, Poreč, Croatia, is now buzzing with energy and anticipation. The final delegations arrived today, completing the arrival of teams from 57 countries, and the event has officially entered its decisive phase of preparation.
A Day of Arrival, Organization, and Readiness
Today marked a milestone in logistics and organization. More than 2,000 ID cards were handed out to competitors, coaches, umpires, officials, and supporters — the final step to ensure smooth operations across all aspects of the Championships. The accreditation process, managed by dedicated staff and volunteers, reflected the scale and professionalism that define the ITF’s premier event.
Meanwhile, weigh-ins and umpire meetings are set to begin tomorrow, ensuring that all participants are ready for four days of high-level competition starting on Tuesday, 7 October at the Sports Hall Žatika.

ITF Board of Directors Meets in Poreč
Alongside the arrival activities, the ITF Board of Directors convened for a full-day meeting in Poreč.
The Board addressed key topics vital to the continued growth and success of the International Taekwon-Do Federation. Discussions focused on the strategic direction of the ITF, upcoming projects and events, and preparations for tomorrow’s ITF General Assembly 2025, where member nations will gather to review progress and make important decisions for the organization’s future.
This meeting underscored the ITF’s ongoing commitment to transparency, development, and long-term planning in all areas of governance, education, and promotion of Taekwon-Do worldwide.

With the final teams now on the ground, the competition venue ready, and the organizational work entering its final stage, Poreč is poised to host one of the most dynamic and inclusive ITF World Championships yet.
