The ALL INDIA ITF TAEKWON-DO ASSOCIATION (AIITA) has solidified its position as a leading authority in Taekwon-Do nationwide, concluding a highly successful 2025 by organizing four major State Championships that showcased the growing talent and dedication of its athletes.
I. Massive Success in Uttar Pradesh: The 22nd ITF State Championship
From October 31st to November 2nd, 2025, the city of Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh, hosted the 22nd edition of the ITF Taekwon-Do State Championship. The event, held at St. Xavier’s School in Sahjanwa, was a spectacular display of skill and discipline.
- Record Participation: A total of 347 competitors from 19 districts and 8 clubs participated, making it one of the most well-attended events.
- Key Results:
- Champion: Gorakhpur District.
- 1st Runner-up: St. Xavier’s School Club.
- 2nd Runner-up: Siddharthnagar District.
- Events: Athletes competed in 5 main events: Individual and Group Pattern, Individual and Group Sparring, and Power Breaking.
- Grand Opening: The event featured a magnificent opening ceremony, including a vibrant cultural program, and was graced by the presence of distinguished guests, including:
- Mr. Pradeep Shukla (MLA).
- Mr. Rakesh Tiwari (Director of St. Xavier’s School).
- Mr. Jeet Lal Prajapati (President of TSAUP).
- Dr. Sunita Singh (Senior Vice President).
- Sabum Santosh Kumar Yadav (Secretary General of AIITA).






II. West Bengal: Innovation and Leadership in Siliguri
The West Bengal State Championship took place on November 8th and 9th, 2025, in Siliguri. This event emphasized transparency and technological integration in the competition.
- Scope: 245 participants (both boys and girls) competed over two intensive days, running from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM.
- Technology: The event utilized the Sportdata electronic scoring system, elevating the competition standards.
- Guests of Honor: The championship featured Padmashree Karimul Haque as the Chief Guest, with special observation from Sabum Santosh Kumar Yadav, Secretary General of AIITA.








III. Capital of Taekwon-Do: High Turnout in Delhi
Running concurrently with the West Bengal event, the Delhi State Championship on November 8th and 9th, 2025, demonstrated the strong roots of ITF Taekwon-Do in the capital.
- Strength in Numbers: An impressive total of 500 athletes participated, split into 200 Senior & Junior and 300 Sub-Junior competitors, securing a strong pipeline of future talent.
- Representation: The event brought together athletes from 12 schools and 10 NCR clubs.
- Dignitaries Present: Chief Guests included the Principal of GD Goenka Dwarka and the President of the Taekwon-Do Organisation of Delhi.







IV. The Spirit of the Northeast: 12th Assam Championship
Closing the series of tournaments, the 12th Assam ITF Taekwon-Do Championship 2025 was successfully held on November 16th, 2025, at the Indoor Hall, North Lakhimpur.
- Participation: 102 participating players attended this key regional championship.
- Best Performance: The award for Best Team went to Lakhimpur District.
- Community Recognition: The event received strong community support, with the attendance of several distinguished Chief Guests, including:
- Dr. Riva Das Bordoloi.
- Mrs. Rajlaxmi Hazarika (Principal, Gurukul School).
- Mr. Indramani Rajkumar (Writer & Social Worker).
The success of these four championships underscores the AIITA’s commitment to promoting and developing ITF Taekwon-Do across India.
