As a member of the International Taekwon-Do Federation ITF, in view of the commitment of this entity to the protection of data and the information of our associations, their masters and students, we want to answer to the following questions, for a better understanding of the treatment that ITF develops in the field of our relationship:
What is the treatment of personal data?
Personal data is any information about an identified natural person, such as a name, surname, identification number and location data.
Treatment is any operation performed on personal data, either by automated procedures or not, such as, among others, the collection, registration, organization, conservation, modification, or consultation.
How are my personal data and its treatment protected?
The Member States of the European Union approved the Regulation whose provisions are applicable as of May 25th, 2018, with new measures aimed at expanding and guaranteeing the protection of personal data.

What purpose do we treat your personal data for?
In ITF we treat the information that the interested people facilitate us with the purpose of managing the affiliation of our members, their registration and participation in championships, courses, programmed activities of ITF Taekwon-Do.
Additionally, in compliance with our bylaws, the data you provide us will be used in the promotion, dissemination and development of ITF Taekwon-Do in compliance with our social purpose.
In any case, you are informed of the inexistence of automated decisions.
How long will we keep your data?
The personal data provided will be kept as long as your status as an ITF member is maintained, and for the time necessary to comply with the legal obligations of the treatment. Once the relationship is concluded, and once the legal limitation period ends, we will destroy your data.
What is the legitimation for the treatment of your data?
The main legitimation for the processing of your data that pursues the purpose of managing affiliation and participation in federative events, is covered in the implementation of the associative contract, and registration in events respectively, where at the time of subscribing you will be informed in detail of the treatment that will be done in accordance with the ITF privacy and data protection policy.
The express consent constitutes a legitimizing basis of the treatment that will allow ITF to treat them for the promotion, diffusion and development of ITF Taekwon-Do in accordance with its statutes.
How are your data obtained?
- The information that you provide when you request your affiliation to ITF, as a master or student, through the respective national association of which you are a part.
- Through applications for registration in ITF activities,
- Through our ITFONLINE application.
What type of data are subject to treatment?
For the fulfillment of its purposes, ITF collects the identifying data of its members, their level of student or master, and results in championships, courses and other activities (name, surname, address, email, ID card or passport) in which the interested party participates.
Which addressees will your data be communicated to?
ITF does not transfer its data to third parties outside the organization, unless requested by an authority.
ITF has an internal regulation of good practices, ethics and discipline, which is applicable to all members of the organization, and especially to any authorized member with access to personal data.
In addition, it has the collaboration of some third-party service providers that have access to your personal data and that treat the referred data in the name and on behalf of the Federation as a result of its provision of services.
Specifically, and as an example but not limited to, the aforementioned suppliers perform their services in the following sectors: logistics services, legal advice, multidisciplinary professional services companies, maintenance-related companies, technology service providers, computer service providers, providers of instant messaging services.
What are your rights?
Any person can exercise the following rights:
- Access. Request information from ITF about whether your personal data is being processed.
- Rectification. Request the modification of data that are inaccurate or incomplete.
- Suppression. Request the deletion of data that are inappropriate or excessive, without prejudice to the duty to block.
- Limitation. Request a limitation of the treatment of your personal data because of inaccuracy, illegality, opposition or claim.
- Opposition. Oppose the treatment of your personal data or the cessation of these in some cases.
- Portability. Request that personal data be transmitted from responsible to responsible when technically possible.
- Revocation of the consent given.
