On September 21, 2024, Master Mariusz Steckiewicz hosted the “Patterns Peak Performance” Master Class, an event that drew nearly 70 participants from 17 different countries. This unique online seminar brought together Taekwon-Do practitioners, instructors, and coaches, all eager to learn new insights on preparing for competition and improving their pattern performance.
The 2.5-hour session focused on the technical, physical, anatomical, and psychological aspects of performing patterns at the highest level. Topics ranged from technical accuracy and energy efficiency to psychological preparation, such as fostering a “Champion’s Mindset” to excel under pressure. Master Steckiewicz also covered critical topics like periodization, timing one’s peak performance for competitions, and key factors that separate good performances from elite ones.
Participants were highly engaged throughout the seminar, which included practical advice and in-depth discussions on preparing athletes for competitions ranging from local tournaments to world championships. The class concluded with Q&A, providing valuable interaction between Master Steckiewicz and the participants.
The feedback received was overwhelmingly positive, with many attendees praising the structure, content, and delivery of the session. Here are a few highlights from the participants’ feedback:
