Organized by the Guatemalan Taekwon-Do Fraternity, from 5th to 7th August 2016 it took place the 111th IIC in Crowne Plaza Hotel in Guatemala.
There were 105 participants from 9 countries (USA, Puerto Rico, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Honduras, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Argentina and Mexico), among them 1 Senior Master and 6 Masters, so it was undoubtedly the most important event of the year in our region.
The IIC was unique, not only because of the amount of countries and participants, but also because of the quality and hierarchy of its teachers.
Along with GM Héctor Marano and GM Ung Kim Lan, there was the ITF President, GM Pablo Trajtenberg, who shared with us his experience in leadership and philosophy.
Besides the IIC, we could enjoy introductory courses about the Harmony Program, led by Sabum Nim Gastón Casero, and about TKD Kids, led by Sabum Nim Fabián Izquierdo, having Guatemala the priviledge of being the first country that teaches both in the same IIC. They are two key points in the medium and long term development of ITF.
In conclusion, this 111th IIC has been a unique event from all points of view: the hierarchy of its teachers, the variety of the information and the amount of countries and participants.
This way we start a new era in Central America, with more and new projects to come.
