Dear ITF Members:
During the first weekend of October 2019 from the 4th to the 6th, the 145th International Instructors course was held in the beautiful city of Punta Cana, Dominican Republic at the Hard Rock Hotel.
The event was organized by the Federacion de Taekwon-Do ITF Dominicana, FETAID, and it was an honor to have the presence of the ITF Grand Master Paul Weiler, Grand Master Hector Marano, Grand Master Ung Kim Lan and 62 participants from the following countries: Trinidad and Tobago, Canada, Germany, Israel, Chile, Anguilla, Jamaica, Argentina, United States, Saint Maarten, Puerto Rico, Scotland and Dominican Republic.
The course started on Friday 4th with the first part of the IIC where we performed the patterns from Chon-ji to Choom- moo.
On Saturday 05th we had the honor to receive an special session of our ITF president Grand Master Paul Weiler about the Joint and the Muscles; then we continue with the patterns of first, second and third degree, we also worked with 1, 2 and 3 step sparring, and finally self-defense techniques.
In our last day of IIC we had the Introduction of the Adapted Taekwon- Do program by the Inclusion Committee with the presence of its Chairman and ITF Treasurer, Sabum Nim Leonardo Oros Duek and Miss Anabel Vicario, member of the Inclusion Committee, then we continue with the patterns of fourth, fifth and sixth degree.
The Organizer Committee would like to express our gratitude towards Grand Master Paul Weiler, Grand Master Hector Marano and Grand Master Ung Kim Lan for their guidance and passion to teach us all different aspect of our beloved art.
The IIC 145th was a great success for us as country and as Caribbean region.
We are thankful for the support received from ITF Headquarter and we hope that we can collaborate on major events again in the future.
It was a privilege to host this IIC, and we promise to be the leading country to develop our ITF in Dominican Republic.
