After many years of involvement in Taekwon-Do, the most notable period was the meeting with General Choi Hong Hi, from 1981 to 2002.
Throughout this period, in addition to my participation in International Seminars were the personal moments I spent not only in Hellas but also in many other countries.
During the seminar visits in Hellas, we had the opportunity to visit many important antiquities, especially the tombs of the Hellenic Kings in Vergina (father of Alexander the Great), Ancient Sparta in Laconia, Ancient Olympia (birthplace of the Olympic Games), etc.
General Choi was a connoisseur of history, and in countless discussions, we had the opportunity to develop many historical facts. Besides, the development of the fifth tenets of Taekwon-Do “Indomitable Spirit” and the example of the 300 of Leonidas is not accidental.
In the period 1989 to 1995, as the publisher of the newspaper “Voice of Taekwon-Do”, I interviewed General Choi on tape (in Ancient Olympia) about many issues that concerned many events from his life.
In 1997 I was invited by General Choi for the filming of the 24 patterns in Canada.
I am pleased that I learned from this human physiognomy, a man with sensitive feelings but also very hard in his decisions.
