Masterclass, Seminar
International Taekwon-Do Federation Nepal hosted the Masterclass ITF Taekwon-Do Seminar in Kathmandu, Nepal on June 25, 2022. The Seminar was conducted by Master Matias Picalo from Spain with 110 participants from Nepal and 30 participants from India. The participants learned and practiced ITF techniques as well as updated tournament and umpire rules and regulation. In addition, sparring and pattern classes have been conducted by Master Picalo.
During the seminar opening, ITF equipment was handed over to the Master Matias Picalo and his assistance Natalia Caisco by the chief guest National Sports Council Executive Board Member Mrs. Nanda Basyal and Special Guest Mr. Ekendra Bahadur Kunwar.
INDO -NEPAL ITF TAEKWON-DO CHAMPIONSHIP – 2022 ( 26-27th June 2022 )
The Indo-Nepal ITF Taekwon-Do Championships were successfully concluded in Kathmandu Nepal at BG Banquet and Event center Gongabu, Kathmandu Nepal
In total, 140 competitors from Nepal and India participated in different categories of the event (Senior/Junior Individual Sparring, Senior/Junior Group Sparring, Senior /Junior Individual Tuls, Senior /Junior Team Tuls). Out of 40 categories, the ITF Nepal team won 28 Gold, 27 Silver, and 40 Bronze medals and won the Championship Trophy. The best female competitor was Ms. Aarati Chhantyal (Nepal) and the best male competitor was Mr. Santosh Yadav (India).
During the closing and medal award ceremony, chief guest, former Health and Tourist Minister H. R. Bhanubhakta Dhakal awarded the trophies and medals to the winners together with the Nepal Confederation of Sports Chairman Mr. Krishna Basnet (Parshuram).
During the event, ITF Nepal selected the athletes, team coaches, umpires, and officials for the upcoming 8th ITF World Cup in Koper, Slovenia 1-9 October 2022.
