After a moving opening ceremony, the electrifying return to presence in a World Cup was continued at day 2 of competitions.
More than 1,300 competitors from 52 countries overwhelmed us with a roller coaster of emotions.
From the sweet taste of victory to the pain of defeat, we went through the different emotional steps of a high-intensity day.
We saw the full range of ITF competition: from pattern to sparring and from special technique to pre-arranged sparring for all age categories ranging from pre-juniors to veterans in both, color belts and black belts.
In pattern, the full ITF Technical and Instruction Committee was observing the global status of the competitors as well as analyze the application of the new rules that were released prior to this world cup. In team pattern, Argentina continued their success from the World Championship 2019 and won titles in several categories.
As the World Cup gives everyone the chance to participate, we watched heart-warming first time international competitors and experienced long-time competitors. Yet, in sparring, we observed a very even level which was reflected in the large number of ties.
Another emotional highlight was the intense competition for the World Cup Winner in male 15-17 years black belts individual special technique with half of the Bonifika Arena in Koper cheering and supporting the competitors in their spectacular jumping skills.
The medal statistic shows after the second day of competitions of the World Cup 2022 clubs from Poland ahead of Ukrainian and Argentinian clubs.
There is still a few days left and many categories to fight for the World Cup Winner and we will continue to share with our followers the emotions through our networks in photos, videos and reports.
