On November 7, 8 and 9 was held in Tegucigalpa, Honduras the 97thIIC.
The IIC was conducted by the Grand Masters Hector Marano and Ung Kim Lan, while on the addressing of the Kids Development Program was Sabun Nim Fabian Izquierdo.
The event was attended by 104 participants from Argentina, Chile, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, El Salvador, Guatemala and Honduras.
The event was opened by the event organizer, Master Abel Tábora and Grand Master Marano, who after the protocolar salutation and the corresponding acknowledgments, reported the results of the Grade Promotion from the previous day. Such as:
Hector Sanchez 3rd to 4th from El Salvador.
Ernesto Zepeda 4th to 5th from El Salvador.
Raul Alvarez 5th to 6th from Honduras.
Efrain Garcia 6th to 7th from El Salvador.
Abel Tábora 6th to 7th from Honduras.
After formally being opened the IIC, the activities during Friday started with the training of concepts related to the combat such as speed of movement, reaction, dealing with the distance and the correct times, which were conducted by Grand Master Lan.
In addition, he set a reasonable time to provide the necessary foundations for the different types of confrontations at 1, 2 and 3 steps.
Subsequently, Grand Master Marano was responsible for transmitting the technical basis for the performing of patterns from Chon-Ji to Ge Baek, complemented with a working application of the different techniques and a deep analysis of the basic positions and the performing of the fundamental movements.
Saturday’s session began with GM Lan conduction, who explained how to correctly perform each technique from the patterns Eui Am, Choong Jang and Juche as well as the application thereof.
Moreover, he also addressed the issue of the correct breathing in the different motions and the benefits of its constant practice.
Special mention deserved the explanation and the practice of the sine wave movement.
In parallel, the color belts and the 1st Degree black belts reviewed the concepts seen the day before and trained the techniques face to face.
The standardizing on the execution, the review of the techniques and patterns corrections on Sam Il, Yoo Sin and Choi Yong, was conducted by Grand Master Marano.
After that, Grand Master Lan spent some time talking about the DO and the importance of training it regularly.
The last section of the Course was divided between the self-defense training and the patterns from IV, V to VI Degree.
In addition to the technical aspects of all the aspects of the composition cycle, the participants had the opportunity to ask questions about other aspects of the ITF.
The last day was entirely dedicated to the promotion of the Kids Development Program, addressing issues related to the education, the class preparation, the application of games in the training and the analysis of successful cases in different parts of the world.
Finally the 97th IIC was officially closed, with words of congratulations to the organizing country and the gratefulness to all the attendees.
