One way is to attend a 12 hour International Kids Course (IKC) and pass the exam.The other way is to attend an Online International Kids Course (OIKC) + two physical Kids Program workshops\, (such as the ones included in some IIC’s or ones organised by an NA/AA which is conducted by a Children’s Development Committee member) and pass the exam.Is there an exam for the course?There is no exam for this OIKC but there is an exam which can be taken later to gain the Kids Program Instructor qualification.Will there be physical activities in the course?The course will mainly cover the theoretical aspects of the Kids Program including pedagogy\, scientific and philosophic principles of teaching the Kid’s Program but it will also teach many practical strategies and there will be some physical activities for those who wish participate.Will we be able to ask questions during the course?Yes\, there will be an opportunity to ask questions but the questions must be submitted via the chat facility. For him\, physical and moral training were two indivisible parts of the study of Taekwon-Do. Without the emphasis on moral development\, Taekwon-Do is just a sport\, not a martial art. The true nature and spirit of a martial art is in the learning and teaching of the Do\, i.e.\, the “way”\, the “right way” as General Choi calls it. For him\, the “right away” is the “way paved by the saints and wise people of the past.” \n\n\n\nFurthermore\, teaching the Do is good for business. With so many businesses competing for the customer’s money and attention\, each business has to work hard to set itself apart from its competitors. Those instructors who are able to teach the Do effectively and provide moral training in addition to physical training have a competitive edge on their business competitors. They can offer a product that is unique\, needed\, demanded\, and better than the competition. This means that they can attract more students in their dojang. \n\n\n\nIs there an exam for the seminar?There is no exam for this seminar.  \n\n\n\nWill I get a qualification from the seminar?No\, but you will have a better understanding of the Do\, and you will be better qualified to teach the Do after the seminar. Furthermore\, it will enable you to benefit more from the experience of attending the full two-day International Do Course (IDC)\, which provides more advanced demonstrations\, physical training\, hands-on experience\, feedback\, brief presentations\, and discussions. \n\n\n\nWill there be physical activities during the seminar?There will be opportunities for some physical activities during the seminar. Those will be used to experience the Do in Taekwon-Do. In addition\, video clips and live demonstrations will be used to show how to apply many practical strategies for developing and teaching the Tenets of Taekwon-Do. \n\n\n\nWill we be able to ask questions during the seminar?Yes\, there will be an opportunity to ask questions at the end of each part of the seminar. However\, participants will be asked to submit their questions via the chat facility on the Zoom platform. DESCRIPTION:Dear ITF Members! \n\n\n\nI hope this letter finds everyone in good health! \n\n\n\nAs we are all aware\, the Corona situation that has been going on for a year has meant that we had no choice but to postpone this year’s planned World Championships in Finland\, much to the disappointment of all involved. \n\n\n\nIt is therefore\, with pleasure and satisfaction that I can inform you today that the ITF Executive Board in consultation with the responsible committees\, has decided to hold the 1st Online Taekwon-Do World Championship for Patterns and Traditional Sparring from September 4th to September 19th 2021. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe difference to the previous year’s e-tournament is that only black belts of the national teams will be eligible to compete at the world championships. The results from this event will be posted on the official ITF website with certificates and medals being awarded. \n\n\n\nThe valuable experience gained from the e-tournament in 2020 is now benefiting us all. With all the positive feedback and comments after this last event is proof that we are moving in the right direction. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWe believe that the Online World Championships now scheduled for September is the logical continuation of the ITF events. DESCRIPTION:Online International Do Course \n\n\n\nWhat are the dates and times of the International Do Course (IDC)?Sunday January 23rd and Sunday January 30th (2022) (UTC-time) – From 15:00 to 18:00 (UTC-time)\, and from 19:00 to 22:00 (UTC-time) on each Sunday.  \n\n\n\nWho may register for the course? \n\n\n\nThe course is open to all ITF Taekwon-Do members from 2nd grade/gup (red belt) and above\, who also are 16 years of age or older.  \n\n\n\nHow much does it cost to register for the course?75 euros for the course (a total of 12 hours) and handouts (e.g.\, copies of PowerPoint presentations).  \n\n\n\nITF Board Members and ITF Committee Chairpersons may register for free.  \n\n\n\nHow do I register for the course?The ITF decided earlier to stop using ITF-BOOKS.COM for course registration. However\, due to the urgency of the situation (members interested in participating in the IDC must register for the course by Sunday\, January 16th\, 2022) and the absence of an alternate platform to register\, the ITF has decided to make an exception and add the International Do Course to the ITF-BOOKS.COM platform. So\, as originally announced\, you must go to ITF-BOOKS.COM to register for the course. Before registering for the course\, however\, please make sure that you first register your attendance at ITF Courses (on ITF Online) through the Secretary-General of your National Organization. Once you have registered in the ITF database\, you will be assigned a registry number than can be found next to your name. If your country is eligible for reduced registration fees\, you will need this number to have access to the reduced fee. \n\n\n\nWhat is the deadline to register for the course? \n\n\n\nSunday\, January 16th\, 2022. \n\n\n\nWhat will be the language of instructions during the course?The course will be delivered in English. The course will provide you with a great learning experience that will increase your knowledge and understanding of the Do and the moral culture of Taekwon-Do.  \n\n\n\nWhy should I seriously consider to register for the IDC? \n\n\n\nIn his last publication\, Moral Guide Book (2000)\, General Choi wrote: “…the only way one can truly achieve the status as a man of Taekwon-Do is to go beyond the technical aspect and establish a lifestyle based on a solid code of morality.” (p. 9). For him\, physical and moral training were two indivisible parts of the study of Taekwon-Do. Without the emphasis on moral development\, Taekwon-Do is just a sport\, not a martial art. The true nature and spirit of a martial art is in the learning and teaching of the Do\, i.e.\, the “way”\, the “right way” as General Choi calls it. For him\, the “right away” is the “way paved by the saints and wise people of the past.” \n\n\n\nFurthermore\, teaching the Do is good for business. With so many businesses competing for the customer’s money and attention\, each business has to work hard to set itself apart from its competitors. Those instructors who are able to teach the Do effectively and provide moral training in addition to physical training have a competitive edge on their business competitors. They can offer a product that is unique\, needed\, demanded\, and better than the competition. This means that they can attract more students in their dojang. \n\n\n\nIs there an exam for the course?There is no exam for this course.  \n\n\n\nWill there be physical activities during the course?Activities during the course will include primarily actively listening to oral presentations\, participating in quiz and group discussions\, engaging in thinking and self-reflection exercises\, and putting into practice the knowledge and skills learned. Video clips will also be used to show how to use Taekwon-Do exercises and other practical strategies to teach the Do and develop the Tenets of Taekwon-Do. Physical activities during the course will be few and scattered. \n\n\n\nWill it be possible to ask questions during the course?Yes\, there will be an opportunity to ask questions at the end of each part of the course. However\, participants will be asked to submit their questions via the chat facility on the Zoom platform. We will select which questions to answer\, focusing primarily on the questions most relevant for the course and the audience.   \n\n\n\nWhat will I receive when I register?You will receive a confirmation of your registration by e-mail which will also be a receipt of your payment. Later (usually the day before the course)\, you will receive a Zoom link via e-mail. It will allow you to join the course on the day of the course. In addition\, you will also receive additional information via e-mail before the course starts (e.g.\, dress protocol for the course\, instructions to follow as participants in the course). \n\n\n\nWill I get a certificate for the course?Participants who attend the full IDC will receive an officially signed digital certificate certifying that they have successfully completed the International Do Course (I.D.C.) in accordance with the Rules and Regulations of the Federation.  \n\n\n\nApplicants for promotion to 9th degree black belt are already required to participate in at least one IDC to be eligible for promotion. Furthermore\, a growing number of Instructors\, Masters\, and Grand Masters are asking the ITF to extend this requirement not only to applicants for promotion to 7th degree and above\, but also to applicants for promotion to 4th degree and above.  \n\n\n\nThe IDC certificate that you will receive will be an officially ITF valid document. You will be able to use it to show that you have completed the IDC promotion requirement. \n\n\n\nDo I have to attend all parts of the course?To obtain your certificate\, you must attend all parts of the course\, that is the full 12 hours. DESCRIPTION:The Open Dutch is an ITF Taekwon-Do tournament organized by Difesa Sports with Grand Master Willy van de Mortel as the head of organization. The Open Dutch falls under the umbrella of the Master Series and ITF-Netherlands. \n\n\n\nIn 2022 the Open Dutch will take place on Saturday\, January 29th in Fletcher Wellness Hotel Helmond Scheepsboulevard 2\, 5705 KZ Helmond\, Netherlands. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThis competition is open for youth\, juniors and seniors in the A\, B\, and C-class for the categories sparring and patterns. Please note\, there is no D-Class and the competition is limited to 700 competitors this year. For the A-class juniors and seniors there will also be overall sparring. An overall award will be given to the competing team with the best-ranked competitors. \n\n\n\nFor registration the Sportdata Technology System will be used.
