DESCRIPTION:It is an honor to invite you to participate in the 3rd ITF Adapted Taekwon-Do World Cup. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nUPDATE: \n\n\n\nDear ITF Members\,  \n\n\n\nOn behalf of the International Taekwon-Do Federation\, I am pleased to inform you that on 12 July 2026 the ITF Board approved a number of important changes concerning the organisation of the 3rd ITF Adapted Taekwon-Do World Cup\, which will be held in Benidorm\, Spain\, on 30 September 2026. \n\n\n\nThe purpose of these changes is to encourage the widest possible participation in the Adapted Taekwon-Do World Cup and to make the event more accessible to athletes and National Associations worldwide. All changes have received the positive opinion of the ITF Board and the event Organiser. \n\n\n\n1. Competition Date and ScheduleThe Adapted Taekwon-Do World Cup will take place on Wednesday\, 30 September 2026\, in the afternoon. Accreditation of competitors and delegations will be conducted in the morning of the same day. \n\n\n\n2. Allocation of Competition GroupsThe division of competitors into competition groups will be carried out only after the accreditation of participants has been completed. This approach will ensure that groupings reflect the actual number and profile of accredited competitors\, providing fair and meaningful competition for all participants. \n\n\n\n3. Entry Fee WaivedThe competition entry fee for Adapted Taekwon-Do competitors has been abolished. Participation in the 3rd ITF Adapted Taekwon-Do World Cup is free of charge. \n\n\n\n4. Free Choice of AccommodationThe additional accreditation fee previously applied to competitors not booking accommodation through the official Organiser has been removed. Adapted Taekwon-Do competitors and their carers may freely arrange their own accommodation according to their individual accessibility\, transport and support needs\, without any financial penalty. \n\n\n\n5. Length of StayThe duration of stay in Benidorm will depend solely on the decision of the Adapted Taekwon-Do competitor and their carers. Scheduling the entire event — accreditation\, competition and medal presentations — within a single day allows participants to significantly reduce travel and accommodation costs\, should they wish to do so. \n\n\n\n6. Minimum Grade Requirement RemovedThe previous requirement of holding a minimum grade of 4th Gup has been abolished. Participation is now open to all competitors from 10th Gup upwards\, with grade divisions created according to the number of registered competitors. DESCRIPTION:Taking Place during theITF WORLD CUP 2026 – 28th OF SEPTEMBER – 3rd OF OCTOBER 2026 – IN BENIDORM\, SPAIN \n\n\n\nDuring the 1st ITF World Record Event in the “Twimyo Nopi Ap Cha Busigi” discipline at the 2025 World Championships\, remarkable records were set: \n\n\n\nMale Record holder: Andrei Ionut Chiriac (Romania) set the limit to 291cm. \n\n\n\nFemale Record holder is Michelle Wendykier (Poland) with a height of 254 cm. \n\n\n\nWe would like to continue with 2nd ITF World Record Event in the “Twimyo Nopi Ap Cha Busigi” discipline during the ITF Taekwon-Do World Cup 2026. \n\n\n\nThe World Record Event is independent from ther World Cup and it is not a category of the World Cup. \n\n\n\nThe registration will take place in Sportdata via ITF online. \n\n\n\nProcedure:The World Record Event will have two parts.Part 1 – Qualification:The qualification is accomplished with one valid attempt for a minimum height (240 cm for women and 285 cm for men). Each registration must be processed through the club participating in the World Cup\, provided they have access to this platform\, or through each country’s National or Allied Association. \n\n\n\nRegistration Deadline:Registrations will be open until September 12\, 2025 at 21:59 UTC \n\n\n\nRegistration Fee:USD 100\, and no fines will be applied for accommodation outside the official hotels \n\n\n\nA competition exclusively for athletes with disabilities\, whether physical\, motor\, sensory\, or intellectual\, will be held. The evaluation of each competitor’s level of disability will be carried out by the Inclusion Committee. All participants must undergo an evaluation committee review\, presenting their medical fitness certificate for the competition\, clearly indicating their disability status and degree. Additionally\, the Unique Disability Certificate (UDC) will be required. The final admission and classification of each competitor will be determined by Sbn Anabel Vicario\, and this decision will be final and irrevocable.The UDC must be sent via email to lorosduek@itftkd.org \, indicating the corresponding registration number. \n\n\n\nThis edition will feature Individual Patterns\, covering categories from 4th Gup to 4th Dan. \n\n\n\nThe age divisions will be: \n\n\n\n\nPre-Junior (born in 2010 – 2012)\n\n\n\nJunior (born in 2007 – 2009)\n\n\n\nAdult (born in 1989 – 2006)\n\n\n\nSenior (born in 1988 or before)\n\n\n\n\nAfter the registration\, the categories are split into different belt categories and the different degrees of disability. In the case of less than 4 competitors in a category\, the categories can be merged. \n\n\n\nThe competition will be overseen by a special team of certified Adaptive Taekwon-Do referees\, led by GM Abelardo Benzaquén\, Chairman of the Umpire Committee and Sbn Anabel Vicario Chairman of the Inclusion Committee. \n\n\n\nWe are confident that this event\, which allows athletes with disabilities to showcase their talent and spirit on an international stage\, will become a standard in our community \n\n\n\nWe welcome you and look forward to your participation in this special event for the ITF and our athletes with disabilities. \n\n\n\n\nGM Abelardo BenzaquénChair of the Umpire Committee \n\n\n\nSbn Anabel VicarioChair of the Inclusion Committee

SUMMARY:1st ITF Adapted Taekwon-Do World Cup 2024
DESCRIPTION:Dear Grand Masters\, Masters\, and Instructors: \nIt is an honor to invite you to participate in the First ITF Adapted Taekwon-Do World Cup\, an event that will mark a milestone in the history of the ITF. This historic competition will take place within the framework of the “9th Mar del Plata Taekwon-Do World Cup 2024\,” which will be held at the Islas Malvinas Sports Stadium\, Mar del Plata\, Argentina\, from October 28 to November 3\, 2024. \nFor the first time in ITF history\, a competition will be held exclusively for athletes with disabilities\, whether physical\, motor\, sensory\, or intellectual. This edition will feature the Individual Patterns category\, ranging from 4th Kup to 4th Dan. The age divisions will include Pre-Junior\, Junior\, Adult\, and Advanced Senior. \nThe age divisions will be as follows: \n\nPre-Junior: born between 2009 and 2011\nJunior: born between 2006 and 2008\nAdult: born between 1988 and 2005\nSenior: born in 1987 or earlier\n\nAfter registration\, the categories will be divided according to belt level and different degrees of disability. In case there are fewer than 4 competitors in a category\, they may be merged. \nThe evaluation of each competitor’s degree of disability will be carried out by the ITF Inclusion Committee\, under the leadership of Sbn. Anabel Vicario\, along with her specialized team. All participants must undergo the evaluation committee’s review\, presenting their medical certificate of fitness for competition\, clearly stating the type and degree of disability. Additionally\, the Unique Disability Certificate (CUD) must be presented. The final admission and classification of each competitor will be determined by the ITF Inclusion Committee\, and this decision will be final and irrevocable. \nThe competition will be supervised by a special team of referees certified in Adapted Taekwon-Do\, under the direction of Grand Master Abelardo Benzaquén\, Chair of the Umpire Committee. \nRegistrations will be open until October 5\, 2024\, through the sportdata.org platform via the ITF online database (https://data.itftkd.sport). Each registration must be made through the club participating in the World Cup\, provided it has access to the platform\, or through the National or Allied Association of each country.
