Con la presencia de 43 delegados con derecho a 121 votos, tuvo lugar por primera vez en la historia de manera virtual, el XXVIII Congreso de la ITF.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

La apertura estuvo a cargo del presidente en funciones, GM Paul Weiler, quien dio la bienvenida a los Grandes Maestros, delegados, presidentes de los distintos Comit\u00e9s, al asesor legal Sr. Efraim Barak, a los dem\u00e1s asesores legales, a los instructores y representantes presentes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

En un apartado especial, el presidente dedic\u00f3 unas palabras de agradecimiento por su presencia a los expresidentes M. Russel MacLellan y GM Pablo Trajtenberg.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Se inform\u00f3, adem\u00e1s, acerca del pago para la cobertura por los pr\u00f3ximos diez a\u00f1os, sobre los derechos de marca, as\u00ed como el cumplimiento de las obligaciones con las organizaciones WADA y a Sport Accord.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Por otra parte, se subray\u00f3 la labor que viene llevando adelante el GM Michael Daher para el desarrollo de Asia, lo que llev\u00f3 a que la ITF tuviera ocho nuevos miembros en esa regi\u00f3n del mundo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Para finalizar su mensaje, el presidente mencion\u00f3 la labor emprendida por los Comit\u00e9s e hizo hincapi\u00e9 en el \u00e9xito obtenido por el primer curso \u00edntegramente online organizado y conducido por el Comit\u00e9 de Inclusi\u00f3n.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Todos los puntos del Orden del D\u00eda fueron tratados sin controversia, destac\u00e1ndose entre ellos la aprobaci\u00f3n del Balance Parcial 2020, el Presupuesto 2021 presentado por el Tesorero Sbn Leonardo Oros Duek (constituyendo la primera vez en que un presupuesto es presentado con antelaci\u00f3n al ejercicio), el calendario de eventos 2021, el cambio de estatus para algunas organizaciones nacionales y el aumento de la cuota anual de miembros manteniendo el descuento de cinco niveles seg\u00fan tabla del Banco Mundial.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

M\u00e1s adelante, luego del anuncio de la apertura del Congreso Extraordinario, se comparti\u00f3 un video institucional de la ITF desarrollado por el Comit\u00e9 de Desarrollo y Comunicaciones.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A su tiempo, la responsable del Comit\u00e9 Organizador del pr\u00f3ximo Campeonato Mundial de Tampere, Finlandia, realiz\u00f3 una minuciosa presentaci\u00f3n acerca de la situaci\u00f3n actual debido a las implicancias del COVID-19 e inform\u00f3 que seguir\u00e1n trabajando en la organizaci\u00f3n del evento, para tomar una decisi\u00f3n definitiva luego de abril de 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Por unanimidad se aprob\u00f3 que la Copa del Mundo de Eslovenia tendr\u00e1 lugar en 2022 y que la Copa del Mundo 2024 se realizar\u00e1 en Irlanda. Para finalizar, se inform\u00f3 que siguen recibiendo candidaturas para la organizaci\u00f3n del Campeonato Mundial de 2023.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
